We’re excited to unveil a first glimpse at the active lifestyle available to you at The Variel senior living community in Warner Center. Our exciting new Discovery Center is now open at 6160 Variel Avenue. It showcases the contemporary, upscale design of our new retirement community currently under construction just steps away at 6233 Variel Avenue.

Our award-winning interior designer for The Variel, Rodrigo Vargas Design, is also the designer for the Discovery Center. So when you visit, you’ll get a taste of the uplifting design specifically created for active seniors in the Los Angeles area. There’s even a beautiful full-scale kitchen that features the exceptional cabinetry and fixtures that will be used in independent living apartments at The Variel. Below is an exclusive sneak peek of the Discovery Center led by Laney Podell, our new director of marketing and sales at The Variel.

Safety precautions for our visitors and staff.

Your safety is of the utmost importance to us at The Variel Discovery Center. The following COVID-19 safety procedures will be followed when you visit:

  • Temperature check – Discovery Center staff will take the temperature of everyone as they enter. Visitors and staff members with an elevated temperature will not be allowed.
  • Face masks required – Hand sanitizer and face masks will be provided.
  • Thorough cleaning – The Discovery Center will be cleaned frequently following an established cleaning schedule. All cleaning products will be consistent with CDC guidelines and will follow industry best practices.
  • Limited capacity – Until further notice, no more than 12 people (including staff members) will be allowed in the Discovery Center at one time.

We are open 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Sunday. Due to capacity restrictions, The Variel team kindly requests that you call ahead to schedule a one-on-one appointment. Or for a walk-in visit, please call to ensure that there is space available for safe entry into the Discovery Center.
